Funding

Early Years Entitlements

All parents must now have applied for their funding codes to be able to claim their funded hours in the 2024 Summer term.

Parents who are eligible for the Working Parents element of Early Education Funding will receive an 11 digit code consisting of numbers only. You can check the status of the working parents codes via the eligibility checker. Please note this is only for the 30 hours Extended Entitlement for 3&4 year olds or the 15 weekly hours for working parents of 2 year olds.

Parents of 2 year olds who are not eligible for the Working Parents 2 year funding can continue to apply for their funding via Parent Portal if eligible for this element of funding, parents will receive a 6 digit code consisting of letters and/or numbers. Eligibility for these codes should be checked by obtaining a copy of the child’s funding confirmation letter or a screenshot of the online confirmation.

Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Profile Assessment Training – Date change

Please note the date for this training has now changed to Thursday 18^th April.

The Early Years Training Team will be contacting those providers who have already booked a space, with further details.

Any providers who have not done so and wish to book on to this course can do so via Early Years Training

Childminder Consultation

The DfE has launched a consultation on how to improve the recruitment and retention of childminders in England. The consultation seeks to gather evidence on the best ways to support childminders to remain in the profession, as well as what they can do to help childminders to deliver the new entitlements and provide more wraparound care.

Summer term public health briefing
