Early Years Entitlements Update - February 2024
Please find below further information following our Update Meeting held on the 8th February
Updated Provider and Parental Agreements
These are now in place and available to download on the Knowledge Hub as well as here. If you have already completed a current Parental Agreement for a child starting in April 2024 you do not need to re-issue them with a new one until September.

Any changes to the documents are highlighted in yellow. Please can you sign, date and return these by the Wednesday 20 March 2024 to fish@eastriding.gov.uk in order to claim funded hours from the Summer Term 2024.
Please note, there will be no updated Provider Agreement in September as all changes have been included in here.
Change to Monthly Payments
Following our consultation earlier this term, the consensus of the vote was to change to monthly payments from September 2024. Understandably this raised and will continue to do, a number of queries on the evening some of which we hope we can clear up here.
As from September 2024, providers will be paid monthly following the submission of an estimate, submitted the month prior to payment.
Settings will be paid as per live data based on those months estimates on the following schedule;
- 3 & 4 year olds on the first Monday of the month.
- All funded 2 year olds on the first Wednesday of the month.
- All funded under 2 year olds on the first Friday of the month.
- Headcount will still be required to be completed as per the usual schedule.
- Settings will be required to submit estimates on a monthly basis or as part of their yearly submission.
Payments across the year will be made as follows;
- Autumn Term x 4 payments
- Spring Term x 3 payments
- Summer Term (including August) x 5 payments.
- Early Years Pupil Premium will be able to be paid monthly.
- Disability Access Funding will still be paid annually, over three terms.
We hope this answers many of your queries from the evening. Over the coming months we will continue to provide updates on the finer details and produce and distribute an updated Useful Dates sheet.
