Public health’s primary schools, early years and childcare workshop

9.30am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 4pm
(choose either the morning session or afternoon session)
Free to all providers of foundation stage education, early years, childcare and primary education – all professionals are welcome, whatever your role in the setting. All settings are included - maintained, independent, private providers, academies – all welcome free.
This will be an informative and interactive workshop with helpful advice about the following topics:
- common childhood infections and immunisations
- infection prevention techniques (including nappy-changing hygiene)
- food and environment safety in education settings
Please email earlyyears.training@eastriding.gov.uk to reserve your place and provide the name of attendees and the setting.

Additional Inclusion Support (AIS) Funding (PVI settings)
Every local authority must have a SEN inclusion fund to support early years providers in meeting the needs of individual children with SEN. In East Riding this is known as Additional Inclusion Support Funding.
Applications for Additional Inclusion Support funding are considered on a termly basis with funding to commence at the beginning of the following term. Requests are considered initially by the Area SENCo team prior to seeking approval from the Early Years Support Team. To ensure that the process to runs efficiently, requests must be received by the dates published below.
Spring Term 2024 Funding - Closing date Wednesday, 25 October 2023
Summer Term 2024 Funding - Closing date Wednesday, 21 February 2024
Autumn Term 2024 Funding - Closing date Wednesday, 22 May 2024
Spring Term 2025 Funding - Closing date Wednesday, 6 November 2024

Please discuss requests with your Area SENCo, prior to submission, and contact them for support/guidance with all aspects of inclusion and/or SEND.
Important note: To be fair to all, requests received after the published closing dates will not be considered until the following term.
