Funded Early Education - for childcare settings and childminders

New 2023 Provider Agreement

Please find attached the updated provider agreement for the 2023/24 academic year. There are a few minor changes highlighted in yellow that have been made to capture information to help with funding queries, should they arise and clarify information already contained within the agreement. 

Please note that due to the roll out of new funding entitlements over the coming years, changes to the agreement may be required and the local authority reserves the right to do this. Any updated versions issued, once reviewed must be signed by all providers offering funded early education.

Please can you read, sign and return by Thursday, 31 August at the latest, please note that electronic signatures cannot be accepted. (The provider agreement has been saved as a seperate document for ease of return)

East Riding of Yorkshire childcare sufficiency assessment 2023 – provider survey

The Families Information Service Hub (FISH) would like help from childcare providers to inform the East Riding of Yorkshire Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) survey 2023. We are reviewing our Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, for 2023 and we need as many childcare providers to complete the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Provider Survey as possible.

We would be grateful for your assistance in completing the survey. Your submission will be anonymous. This survey is open until Monday, 31 July 2023.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Consultation- Deadline Approaching

The Department for Education has launched a consultation on the EYFS to offer providers increased flexibility and alleviate known burdens, exploring giving providers more choice over how they operate and making it easier for them to deliver the EYFS. We are keen to understand how these changes may support settings and local authorities to deliver the new entitlements announced at the Spring Budget.

We hope to hear from many people, local government and organisations before the deadline on 26 July 2023, so we can gather a broad range of views to help us reach well-informed decisions.

As a Local Authority, we are planning to submit a response and encourage all of our settings to do the same- however, if you have any point, queries or comments you would like us to include on your behalf, please e-mail them to fish@eastriding.gov.uk and we will ensure we include them.

You can respond to the consultation via the Citizen Space platform.
