User Testing for the ERYC Care Chargers Customer Portal
What?
You’re invited to attend User Testing for the ERYC Care Charges Customer Portal
When?
Wednesday 19 April
Session 3: 12:30 to 14:00
Session 4 14:30 to 16:00
Where?
Beverley Adult Learning Centre (Beverley Adult Learning Centre, Burden Rd, Beverley HU17 9LW)
Why?
The Care Charges form will be used as part of an Adult Social Care financial assessment.
You will be asked to complete an online form and to tell us how it might be improved. You will be supported to complete the form during the session. We want to make sure that it makes sense to you and is easy to use. You won’t have to use any of your own financial details (you can make up details, or we can provide dummy information for you to use).
When the online form is ready to be used by the public it should mean that people who complete the form get quicker service and understand what they might have to pay towards the cost of any care that they receive.
The form is expected to take 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Each session will last 90 minutes to allow time for questions and support.
Refreshments provided.
Reimbursement of travel costs also available (receipts/proof of cost required).
Parking available on site (as well as nearby on street parking).
If you are interested in taking part but can’t attend on 19th April, please let us know and we will try to make alternative arrangements to allow you to get involved.
Please contact Peter Measures (peter.measures@eastriding.gov.uk ) or Tanya Gray ( tanya.gray@eastriding.gov.uk) with any questions, to express your interest and book a place
New Video from Tyler
East Riding of Yorkshire Council partnered with KIDS to produce this fantastic video, produced by members of TYLER (The Young Leaders of East Riding). This video captures ways in which professionals working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can ensure that the voice of young people is heard, and offers examples of how this can be achieved in practice. All of the suggestions made in this video have come directly from young people. We hope that you find this video useful and that you are able to use the ideas contained within to ensure that the voice of children and young people is considered in everything that we do.

Public group
YoungMinds is the leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health.
We are working in partnership with Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to help professionals across the area to develop young people’s participation, so that change can happen with young people’s voices and needs right at the heart of it.
In December 2022 this programme of work started with the Nothing About Us Without Us launch event where we talked about the importance of young people’s participation and began to develop a Young People’s Mental Health Advisory Group and a network of engagement and involvement leads.
For the next stage of this work, we want to find out about the participation activities that are already happening across the six places within the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care System (ICS). We are collecting this information so:
- We can make sure existing participation is included in the work of the advisory group and the network; and
- To see where there may be gaps in existing participation or support needed to build on and enhance this.
As someone delivering work with young people and/or delivering participation activities in one of the six places, we would appreciate it if you could do two things:
- Spend some time completing this participation audit. We estimate it will take around 10 – 15 minutes depending on the participation happening in your organisation/service.
https://survey.alchemer.eu/s3/90541899/YoungMinds-x-Humber-North-Yorkshire-Participation-Audit
- Share this information and the audit link to other people in your area that are delivering participation activities with young people.
We are hoping to collect as many responses as possible by Monday 17 April but the audit will remain open after this date so we can continue to build a picture of the participation happening across the Humber and North Yorkshire ICS.
If you have any questions, please contact Kim.Markham-Jones@youngminds.org.uk or Clair.Atherton@nhs.net
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Community of Experience Project surveys
As part of the Community of Experience project that KIDS are developing, we are looking for Lived Experience feedback to inform the offer.
The Community of Experience is to build on the Humber and North Yorkshire Keyworker Service and provide wrap around support for those with a learning disability, autism or both up to the age of 25 and their Parent Carers.
Please take a moment to fill in the survey so we can get as much input form Parent Carers and Young People to create this initiative. As a fellow Parent Carer of two autistic teens that is experiencing difficulties myself accessing and finding the right support, this is much needed and has a lot of potential.

https://forms.office.com/e/8Uz6PAeSDL for Young people and adults with a learning disability, autism or both up to age 25
