Enjoy Local Food & Drink Guide 2023
We will be organising a reprint of 20,000 copies of the 2022 guide, updated for 2023.
Due to the cost of living crisis, there will be no charge to East Yorkshire Local Food Network (EYLFN) members this year. Individual entries will remain the same as last year, unless something fundamental has changed in your business, in which case there is an opportunity to update your entry.
To view your entry in the 2022 guide, please click on www.eryc.link/localfoodanddrinksguide
PLEASE NOTE: Any updates should be emailed to Julia.Soukup@eastriding.gov.uk by FRIDAY 17 FEBRUARY, otherwise your entry will remain the same as last year.
New members who have joined EYLFN since publication of the 2022 guide will be contacted separately.
The popular A5 guide, which will build on the success of previous campaigns to raise the profile of local food and drink and help drive additional sales for your business, will be launched at our spring event on Wednesday 29 March.
The guide will feature East Yorkshire Local Food Network members, food festivals & events and information to help visitors enjoy local food and drink experiences and explore our wonderful area.
As last year, we will also be producing an eGuide with hyperlinks to members' websites, which will be included on partners' websites, including Visit East Yorkshire.

Howden Feastival
Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 March 2023
The East Riding Feastival returns to Howden Market Place.
The Feastival is an exciting fun filled weekend, which acts to generate interest and footfall in town centres and is a great opportunity for businesses to reach new audiences. The event includes street foods, bars of distinction, alfresco dining, live music, comedy, children's entertainment, select grocery food and crafts.
Opening Times: Saturday 4 March: 9am - 7pm Sunday 5 March: 10am - 5pm
Want to be Part of it? Local businesses can still get involved and have 3 ways they can take advantage of these events in their towns:
1) Take a stall at the event. (Stalls will be available to local traders at a concessionary rate, which is a great opportunity to engage with a new audience in a different setting). 2) Run a promotion at the same time as the event and the Council will work with you to promote this as part of the event. 3) Extend opening hours to capitalise on the increased footfall in the town centre.
The East Riding Feastival is delivered by the Market Square Group Ltd, in partnership with the Local Growth Team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Walking East Yorkshire Festival
Saturday 9 - Friday 22 September 2023
Do you have a product or experience that would be attractive to outdoor enthusiasts? Walking Festivals are big business with over 100 held in the UK annually promoting outdoor experiences. Whilst the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail provides the main hook for walking in our region, there is also an abundance of smaller linear and circular routes to enjoy. Less energetic explorers are tempted with a mix of outdoor experiences such as: themed tours of historic towns, boat trips, foraging, bushcraft, food trails and visits to local food and drink producers.
Visit East Yorkshire (VEY) would love to hear from any business who provides tours, short talks about their product, tastings and demonstrations or provides a stop off point for walkers to add to their experience. Ideally it would be great if you had a local walk nearby!
Check out www.walkingtheriding.eastriding.gov.uk for details of walks in your area and contact the VEY Events Team at info@veyevents.co.uk to discuss your ideas further.
