SPOTLIGHT ON...… A new way of contacting SENDIASS
From the 16 January 2023, the current (01482) 396469 number will be changed to give callers two options of who they wish to speak to:
Option 1 will be through to the Families Information Service Hub Helpline Team.
Option 2 will be to speak to SENDIASS.
If nobody is available to take your call (on either option), it will direct to voicemail where you can leave a message and one of the team will call you back.
For FISH enquiries you can e-mail fish@eastriding.gov.uk
For SENDIASS enquiries you can email them via sendiass@eastriding.gov.uk or contact the national SEND helpline 0808 808 3555.

New Supported Internship Opportunities for young people with an EHCP
A supported internship is a workplace based educational programme for young people with SEND that consists of one or more placements, for up to a year, of on the job training. The primary aim of a supported internship is to equip young people age 16 and 24 with the skills they need to help them into employment.
The internship is unpaid but can lead to employment if at the end of the placement, there is a vacancy and the young person meets the criteria. Two local employers have partnered with the local councils, local education and providers and DFN Project Search to delivery 10 places each. Humberside Police and CHCP have places starting in September 2023.
If you are 18y+, have an EHCP, live in East Riding or Hull and are ready to start the journey into the world of work, please register and attend the interest events to find out more. Links to both programmes are below.
