STAFFING UPDATES - new information for the Local Offer Bulletin
0-25 SEND Team
Over recent weeks, the 0-25 SEND Team have welcomed a number of new roles into the service. Our Personal Budget Officer, Trudy Cooper, and our Personal Budget Assistant Officer, Lisa Singleton, will be working closely with internal services across education and care to administer, monitor and review personal budgets and direct payments. They will be working closely with EHCOs, social workers, family coordinators and other colleagues in children’s services in this vital role.
The team have also welcomed our first Community Short Breaks Workers, Lauren Lofthouse and Natalie Carroll. Both Lauren and Natalie are experienced in supporting vulnerable young people and they will be providing short breaks to children with assessed needs.
Over recent months, some staff have left the team. Mark Dixon, our East Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Officer and Louise Taylor, our family coordinator in the West area, both left to begin new roles and we wish them the best. We have welcomed Rebecca (Becky) Faid as our new East IAG Officer; Becky has extensive experience in providing advice and guidance to young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We also welcome (back) Sarah Murray as our new full-time SEND Portage Family Coordinator in the north area; Sarah is an highly experienced portage practitioner and she will be supporting babies and young children in the North of the locality.
