Are you wanting to know more information about how the 0-25 SEND Team can provide advice/information to families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities within the East Riding?
Come along to one of the pop-up pods to meet members of the 0-25 SEND Team and to access information including:
- Support groups and services
- Charities and grants
- Local activities
- Preparing for Adulthood (PFA)
- Assistance on how to access FISH and the Local Offer
- Signposting to local organisations

East Riding of Yorkshire Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2022- Parent/Carer Childcare Survey
The Families Information Service Hub (FISH) would like help from parents/carers to inform the East Riding of Yorkshire Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) Survey 2022.
We are reviewing our Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, for 2022 and we need as many parents/carers to complete the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Parental Childcare Survey as possible, including those who currently access childcare and those wo may wish to access childcare in the future.
We would be grateful for your assistance in answering the following questions about your childcare needs. Your submission will be anonymous. This survey is open from 1, February until 31, March 2022.

East Yorkshire Parent Carer Forum (EYPCF)
PCF virtual sessions
Emotional Wellbeing Service in the East Riding – Tuesday, 22 March 11am – 1pm
With guest speaker Fifa Clarke, the promotional lead for the NHS Emotional wellbeing service in East Riding. Fifa will be explaining the service itself to parent/carers and any changes to the service. Parent/carers joining the session will also have an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
Statutory Framework Workshop rescheduled – Wednesday, 23 March 7-9 pm
Unfortunately, due to Covid we had to reschedule the pm session planned for Tuesday, 15 March. This has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 23 March, same time 7-9 pm.
A reminder that this virtual workshop will cover Identification, Assessment, Provision, and Placement of CYP with SEND and will include information on Statutory Assessments, Termly Support Plans and Annual Reviews.

What's New on the Local Offer?
- All Stars is back! - They are delighted to announce Barnardo’s All Stars will be reopening on Wednesday 27 April 2022 - Based within their fabulous grounds and activity rooms at Holme on the Wolds (just a 10 minute drive from Beverley. They will welcome SEND young people (aged 8-25 years) to enjoy a variety of fun activities such as arts, crafts, games, sports, music in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Initially the groups will run on alternate weeks for the following age groups 8-13 years & 14-25 years. The cost per session will be £5 and this will include a drink and light snack.

Pru is a trained ‘Pets as Therapy’ (PAT) reading dog and will be visiting the library to support primary school children aged 6 and over with reading.

The National Deaf Children's Society are running four online, free sessions to help education and support those working in the early years about childhood deafness.
A Bright Start for Every Deaf Child: Together We Can Be Ready for Deaf Children
The National Deaf Children’s Society are running four live and free online sessions to give those working in the early years information and ideas to support deaf children. Whether you currently have deaf children in your setting or not, these sessions will help you reflect on your practise and equip you to be ready for deaf children now or in the future.
We will cover how deafness impacts development, language and communication, acoustics and lighting, deaf awareness techniques, behaviour and identity.
Our sessions cover:

Social and Emotional Development: 17 March 6-7:15pm on Zoom.

Seeing Parents as Partners: 24 March 6-7:15pm on Zoom.
You will also receive two recorded webinars on sensory storytelling and using basic BSL if you attend one or more of the four.
