What's On

Last call for surveys, thanks to everyone who answered so far!

Model of the Great Barrier reef with fish and coral made from Lego

March is the last month to complete our current survey.

If you have visited the Treasure House in Beverley in the last year, we'd like to ask you a favour and take a few minutes to answer our survey about your visit.

If you enjoyed great exhibitions such as Lego: Brick Wonders, we'd really like to know about it! All your feedback will help us to run more amazing exhibitions like this in the future!

Lego ships sail into Goole Museum

Ships made from Lego on display in a museum, with photos of toys a board behind them

After hearing about Goole Museum’s current Toys Through Time exhibition on the radio, Goole resident Ken Harrison got in touch with the museum.

Ken, who is 84, was registered as disabled in 2015. As his mobility was impaired, he took up a new hobby building models of Goole ships and docks out of Lego. He kindly allowed us to display some of his models as part of the exhibition. In addition, Ken ran a free drop-in Lego modelling workshop for children and families during February half term, which was attended by 166 visitors.

Ken has now agreed to make the workshop a regular event at the Museum; the dates for March will be announced soon. Keep an eye on our social media pages, which you can find links to at the bottom of this newsletter.
