Passes will soon be needed at household waste recycling sites
All residents visiting a household waste recycling site from 1 October will need to display a pass to gain entry. The passes have been introduced to make the system more fair - to make sure the sites are only being used by East Riding residents.
If you're an East Riding resident, you will have already received your free pass and should display it when visiting a site from 1 October.
Keep your pass safe, as lost or damaged passes will not be replaced. If you misplace your pass, you’ll need proof to show that you live in the East Riding when you visit any of our sites. Proof can be either a:
- current driving licence
- utility bill (dated within the last 3 months)
- council tax bill (dated within the last 12 months)
- bank statement (dated within the last 3 months)
The resident’s pass only allows access for residents in a car. If you wish to take a van or trailer over 6ft x 4ft on site, residents will still need to apply for tip permits online.
