Call for participants to attend a virtual workshop: "Identifying Challenges for a Sustainable Digital Society"
Deadline for Expressions of Interest : 14 May 2020 at 16:00
The Digital Economy Theme welcomes Expressions of Interest for a one-day virtual workshop to explore how research can tackle the challenges in establishing a Sustainable Digital Society. It is intended that the outputs of the workshop will be used to scope a Digital Economy Theme call to be funded by EPSRC for up to £5m. The virtual workshop will be held on Thursday 11 June 2020.

Digital Economy Research Contributions to the COVID-19 pandemic response
We are looking for your help to capture stories related to how Digital Economy (DE) funded research has contributed to enabling helping the UK and members of society in response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please can you send us suggestions to

with a sentence or two describing the impact/outcome related to current situation and how the DE theme grant (historic or current) has contributed to this.

An Innovation Fund available for projects between £10,000 - £50,000 has been launched by Digit, an ESRC research centre, to support innovative projects that complement the Digit research programme.

£24M Call for programmes in Adolescence, Mental Health and the Developing Mind led by MRC, AHRC & ESRC
This call is intended to support impactful interdisciplinary awards at a range of interfaces, including arts and humanities, psychology, medicine, social science and biology. However we also welcome applications that draw in non-traditional disciplines to mental health research (including digital technologies), in order to provide novel insights and approaches. Specific interests from Digital Economy may lie in the research around online harms and opportunities and technology use for mental health support.
