 Help shape the new Local Plan for Elmbridge
Residents and stakeholders are invited to help shape the Elmbridge Local Plan by sharing their views in the first consultation.
The Elmbridge Local Plan 2039 scoping consultation opens on Wednesday 4 November and runs until Wednesday 9 December 2026.
Your feedback will help shape the direction of the Local Plan and inform the next stages of its preparation. Responding now means local views and priorities can be considered from the outset.
 Remembrance in Elmbridge - 8 November 2026
On this day we remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
Elmbridge Remembrance parades with road closures are due to take place on Sunday 8 November in:
- Claygate
- Cobham
- Esher
- Molesey
- Thames Ditton
- Walton-on-Thames
- Weybridge
There is also a Remembrance Day Parade taking place at Oatlands Park, starting from Oatlands Park Village Club at 9am.

 Mill Road Depot - planning application update
The council has submitted further technical information for the Mill Road depot planning application. The application is currently expected to be considered at a planning meeting in December.
The application and amended documents are available for public comment until 10 November.
 Hurst Pool refurbishment works update
The changing village, showers and reception area have now been fully stripped out, and all poolside and changing room floor and wall tiles have been removed. Works to complete the ground drainage are also being finalised.
The project remains on schedule, with refurbishment works expected to be completed by the end of January 2027.
 Xcel leisure complex achieves top rating for service quality
Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Complex has received an “excellent” rating in Sport England’s Quest quality assessment.
The facility operated and managed by Places Leisure on behalf of Elmbridge Borough Council recently underwent a one-day in-depth Quest assessment.
 Heathrow invites local community to have their say during expansion consultation
Heathrow is inviting all members of its local community to have their say on expansion when it launches its 2026 Public Consultation. The eight-week consultation runs from 27 October to 22 December with residents able to learn more about expansion plans, before a planning application is submitted.
