Diagnosed as deaf at the age of six, Raymond explores themes of sound, identity and belonging in 'The Quiet Ear' offering a moving perspective on creativity, resilience and inclusion.

The Surrey Community Safety and Cohesion Survey 2026 is now open, running until 21 September 2026, and is seeking your views on community safety, feelings of belonging, and the issues that matter most in your local area. The findings will help shape future community safety and cohesion priorities across Surrey.

 Making our parks even better: Elmbridge’s play area improvement schedule
You can enjoy the brand-new play and fitness equipment at Vaux Crescent play area in Hersham, Molesey Hurst and Coronation recreation grounds, with all three upgraded facilities now open and ready to use.
 Elmbridge Mayor launches Elmbridge Together Fun Run to support local charities
Join the Elmbridge Together Fun Run this September and help raise money for two local charities, Elmbridge CAN and The Mayor of Elmbridge Trust Fund.
Hosted by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Judy Sarsby, the event will take place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub, Walton-on-Thames.
Residents of all ages and abilities are welcome to take part and support these important local causes.
 Bin collection delays
Currently there are some delays to waste collections in Elmbridge due to pressures impacting disposal arrangements.
Crews are working extra hours to catch up, so please leave bins out as collections will take place as soon as possible, though schedules may vary.
If your bin hasn’t been collected, please leave it out, including over the weekend, and crews will return as soon as they can.
 Parking refund scheme
Customers can now apply for a refund if they were incorrectly issued parking fines in some council car parks.
The issue affected car parks in Esher, Cobham, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames and Weybridge.
What you need to apply:
- your name and contact details
- your vehicle registration number
- proof that you paid the parking fine
- your bank details so we can pay your refund
Please apply for a refund for an incorrectly issued parking fine using the online form or if you cannot apply online, call us on 01372 474 474.
