Elmbridge Borough Council has submitted a revised planning application for the Mill Road depot in Esher, following feedback from local residents.
Residents are invited to meet the project team, ask questions and find out more about the updated application at a drop-in session:

 Elmbridge Borough Council exempts terminally ill residents from paying council tax
Residents living with a terminal illness in Elmbridge will no longer have to pay council tax. It follows decisions from several other councils across England, including Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol, who have introduced a full council tax exemption policy to protect terminally ill residents, off the back of calls from end-of-life care charity, Marie Curie.
 Refund scheme now open for incorrectly issued parking fines in Elmbridge
Elmbridge Borough Council has opened a refund scheme for customers who were incorrectly issued parking fines in some council car parks.
The issue affected car parks in Esher, Cobham, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames and Weybridge.
What you need to apply:
- your name and contact details
- your vehicle registration number
- proof that you paid the parking fine
- your bank details so we can pay your refund
Please apply for a refund for an incorrectly issued parking fine using the online form or if you cannot apply online, call us on 01372 474 474.
 Mayor of Elmbridge 2026/2027 charity launch
Following her election as Mayor of Elmbridge at the Annual Meeting of the Council on Wednesday 20 May 2026, Councillor Judy Sarsby held her charity launch on Friday 22 May and her chosen charity to support is Elmbridge CAN.
The launch was held at the Riverside Barn in Walton-on-Thames and was attended by representatives from local businesses and organisations.
 Jobs fair at Elmbridge Borough Council
Weybridge Job Centre Plus hosted their third job fair at the Civic Centre on Tuesday 19 May.
The event brought together 17 local employers and over 100 residents looking for work, providing an opportunity to connect face to face and explore current vacancies across a range of sectors.
