Polling day: Thursday 7 May 2026
You must bring accepted photo ID (original document only) to vote in person. For the full list see: Accepted forms of photo ID. If you forget your ID, you can return with it before 10pm. A private ID check is available on request.
You can vote for up to two candidates. Polling station and candidate details are available online.
Assistance is available at polling stations. Tellers may be present outside, but you do not have to give them information.
Results will be counted on Friday 8 May 2026 and published on the Elmbridge Borough Council website and the Future Surrey website.
 Up, up and away! May half-term adventures
Families can look forward to a variety of engaging, educational and fun sessions this May half-term, including:
- Paper Airplane Day on 26 May from 10am to 12pm in Hurst Park
- Shout! Riverside walk and Stay and Play drop-in session on 26 May from 10am to 12pm
 Step out this May for National Walking Month
Join the free Elmbridge Ramblers Wellbeing Walks, led by friendly, trained volunteers. With daily walks across the borough, there are options for all, including all-inclusive walk and wheel routes, historical walks, weekly and monthly walks around Claygate, Hersham, Molesey, Walton-on-Thames, Esher Common and on the Thames towpath.
There are also free bookable walks at Claremont and Painshill.
 Repair works at Drewitts Court car park upper level
Works to repair and maintain the expansion joints on the upper level of Drewitts Court car park will take place from Monday 18 May to Friday 22 May, 10pm to 6am.
The upper level of the car park will remain closed for the nighttime works and will be coordinated with traffic management and isolated area closures.
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst these necessary repairs take place.
 The story of Leith Hill Place at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre
As part of the new spring programme, the Royston Pike Lecture Series invites you to a talk with Catherine McCusker from the National Trust on Wednesday 13 May at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton at 7.30pm to explore Leith Hill Place’s rich historical and creative legacy and the famous people who lived there.
