 Working together to keep Elmbridge clean for everyone to enjoy
We are supporting Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean, which runs until Sunday 29 March 2026 and are encouraging everyone in Elmbridge to get involved.
You can join a local litter‑pick, pledge to fill a bag, or take part in the Weybridge Great British Spring Clean event on 20 March, or one of the sessions on 24 March in Walton town centre. Get involved to keep Elmbridge clean and tidy!
 Free Easter holiday activities for children in Elmbridge
The school Easter holidays are just around the corner, and we have a fun packed programme of free play sessions at locations and parks across the borough to keep children entertained and active.
Check out our programme of activities, including Elmbridge Museum Explorer events - Awesome Engineering and Sporting Superheroes, as well as the Shout! Stay and Play sessions at Long Ditton and Elm Grove recreation grounds.
 Silent No More: new exhibition brings women’s voices and experiences to the heart of Elmbridge
The Women’s Hub at Voices of Hope, Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre and Elmbridge Borough Council are pleased to present Silent No More, a moving exhibition created by women who have experienced domestic abuse and who have explored recovery and built confidence and wellbeing through the arts. It takes place on 1 April at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton‑on‑Thames.
 Elmbridge for Everyone: investment in local businesses and high streets
We are continuing to take decisive action to back local businesses, high streets and jobs through our 2026/27 Enterprise Elmbridge Action Plan. At our March Cabinet meeting Councillors heard how we are driving a strong and resilient local economy, with high business start‑up rates, rising footfall and sustained investment in our town and village centres.
 Get ready to vote on 7 May
Local government in Surrey is changing to make the system simpler, more connected, and better able to meet local needs.
Make sure you know what’s changing and get ready to vote in elections on 7 May. If you live in the current borough of Elmbridge, you will vote in the East Surrey Council elections.
The councillors you elect on 7 May will have a key role in setting up and then running the new council, which will take over delivering all your local government services from 1 April 2027.
