Local CIL funding round now open for applications
The annual local Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding is now open and applications can be submitted until midnight on Sunday 15 March 2026.
CIL allows Elmbridge Borough Council to collect money from new developments to help pay for the infrastructure needed to support growth. Each year, a portion of this funding is allocated to small local projects in the communities where the development took place.
Before applying, you can check the available funding for each area. The total amount of funding for each area is determined by the level of development in that area.
Elmbridge proposes a budget that invests in the community
We are proposing a budget that delivers real, tangible benefits for residents, investing in our communities, supporting those who need it most, and helping our borough thrive.
We are taking positive steps to make everyday life easier, including:
-
freezing parking charges across all council‑run car parks
-
delivering new water play splashpads in Cobham and Molesey as part of a £2 million investment
-
allocating an additional £500,000 to the voluntary sector to support vulnerable residents facing rising living costs
Successful Leader's meetings come to a close
We would like to thank to all the residents who attended the recent Community Conversations events held across the borough. These 8 sessions formed part of our commitment to open dialogue, transparency and meaningful engagement with local communities.

- the chance to handle authentic artefacts and objects from Elmbridge Museum’s learning discovery box.
- listen to audio recordings of local Home Front stories featured in the ‘Threaded Shelter’ display.
