 Successful Leaders public meetings roadshow comes to an end
Councillor Mike Rollings, Leader of Elmbridge Borough Council and Councillor Simon Waugh, Deputy Leader of the council, hosted 8 public meetings across the borough in January, February and March.
The meetings were attended by almost 250 residents and covered a range of topics, from local government reorganisation to protecting and enhancing our play areas and green spaces.
 Consultation now open for Claygate Vision and Action Plan
The council is undertaking a four-week consultation with the residents, businesses and communities of Claygate on the draft Claygate Vision and draft Action Plan.
As part of the consultation, Elmbridge Borough Council and Claygate Parish Council are hosting an in-person drop-in session on Wednesday 23 April from 4pm to 7pm at Claygate Village Hall. The consultation closes on Thursday 1 May.
 Hersham residents asked for their views
We are running a consultation to find out residents' views on whether Elmbridge Borough Council land should be included in development plans for the Hersham Technology Park site.
The survey is available to complete online and paper copies are also available at the Hersham Centre for the Community. There is an in-person drop-in session on 26 April from 1pm to 3pm at the WI Hall, 4 Burhill Road, Hersham. The consultation runs until 1 May 2025.
 Road closures on the A3 and Seven Hills Road
The A3 will be closed in both directions between the M25 junction 10 Wisley Interchange and the Painshill roundabout at Cobham over a full weekend from 9pm on Friday 11 April to 6am on Monday 14 April 2025.
The southbound Seven Hills Road will be closed from 8pm on Friday 28 March to 6am on Tuesday 22 April 2025. A closure of the southbound Seven Hills Road North will be in place between the Queens Road roundabout and the A245 from 8pm on Friday 4 April to 6am on Tuesday 22 April 2025. Diversions will be in place.
 Radio Teleswitch Service will be switched off
From 30 June, the Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) is switching off. This could affect your home electricity and hot water supply if you have an older electricity meter called an RTS meter.
If you or someone you know has this type of electricity meter, your energy supplier should have already contacted you to arrange an upgrade.
 Go back in time with Elmbridge Museum on 14 April
Elmbridge Museum and Gathering Place 360 have teamed up to deliver a free immersive historical experience. Try out the virtual reality headsets and watch the short VR films inspired by four historical sites in Surrey.
Explore the Bronze Age, Medieval and Tudor Britain, as well as World War 1 and the archaeology of Surrey through creative history workshops based on the films. Booking is essential.

 Free sports training for children with the Surrey Community Games
If you are looking for something different to keep your children active, learn new skills and make new friends this spring, the Surrey Community Games might be just what you need!
Training is for 6 to 8 weeks and starts after the Easter holidays. There are multiple sports to choose from including girls football, judo, dance, tennis, girls cricket and boxing.
