 Surrey Leaders submit interim proposals for local government reorganisation in the county
The leaders of all 12 Surrey councils submitted a joint interim proposal on 21 March to government for local government reorganisation in the county.
While many options have been analysed in detail, the submission to government outlines recommendations around either two or three unitary councils for Surrey.
 30-minutes of free parking at village car parks in Elmbridge
To support our local economy, Elmbridge Borough Council is rolling out 30-minute free parking at 10 village car parks starting Monday 31 March.

 Joint enforcement operation on unauthorised moorings
Officers from the Environment Agency, Elmbridge Borough Council and Surrey Police have conducted a joint enforcement operation along the River Thames in Elmbridge around Hurst Park in Molesey on Monday 24 March.
 Register for the Surrey Community Games from 1 April
Elmbridge, Runnymede and Spelthorne Borough Councils have launched the ‘Surrey Community Games’ to help children learn new sports and develop skills with professional coaches.
Registration opens on 1 April, with training sessions beginning after the Easter holiday and continuing for 6 to 8 weeks.

 Update on proposed PSPO for unauthorised mooring
Following the court’s decision, the council is conducting a third consultation on the proposed Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for unauthorised mooring.
Residents, river users and stakeholders are asked to send their views and comments by Sunday 25 May.
