Volunteer walk leader wanted – help make walking inclusive for everyone in Elmbridge
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our wellbeing walks volunteers’ team to support our weekly inclusive walk every Monday from 11am to 11:45am/12pm along the Thames towpath. This walk starts and finishes at Elmbridge Xcel leisure complex in Walton, with an option to enjoy a coffee afterwards.
What kind of support would make a difference to you?
Share your views and ideas on how community services could better help Elmbridge residents at one of our listening events:
- Tuesday 25 February, 5pm to 7pm at Ember Sports Club, Esher
- Thursday 27 February, 6pm to 7.30pm online
In return for your participation you will receive a £20 shopping voucher. Terms and conditions apply.
Elmbridge's sustainable future: your views matter!
We have climate change plans in place to support our vision of a thriving and sustainable Elmbridge, but we need your input to help shape the plans for 2050.
A climate change survey is now open until Sunday 2 March to gather your views on our climate change priorities for the borough. Your feedback is crucial as it will feed into our Climate Change Citizens’ Panel process which will soon begin.
Free home energy improvement guide for Surrey residents
Surrey residents looking to upgrade their homes with energy saving ‘retrofit’ measures can now access guidance from Surrey County Council’s new Home Energy Improvement Guide.
Over 300,000 homes in Surrey have low energy performance, meaning people live in homes which are poorly insulated, expensive to run, and prone to damp or mould due to inadequate internal air quality.
 Leaders community engagement meetings
We are pleased to invite all residents to a series of community engagement meetings hosted by the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Council in February and March.
These meetings aim to inform residents about the critical issues affecting the borough, including the Local Plan, financial outlook, local government reform, as well as addressing specific concerns impacting individual towns and villages.
Registration for the meetings is now open.
