Our wellbeing walks and cycle rides are a fantastic way to stay active and meet with others over the festive season.
We offer free walks almost every day, including on Bank Holidays, and organise weekly cycle rides across the borough throughout the year. These activities are managed by a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers.

Are you eligible for Pension Credit and help with fuel bills?
Pensioners are being urged to check if they are eligible for Pension Credit, a weekly benefit to boost the incomes of older people. From this year, pensioners who receive Pension Credit will also automatically receive the Winter Fuel Payment.
The last possible date to make a successful backdated claim to receive the Winter Fuel Payment is 21 December 2024.

Christmas comes to St Johns Community Garden
Christmas magic has arrived at St Johns Community Garden in Walton, in the form of a new garden sign, Christmas tree and festive lights. The community garden is open for all residents to pot, water, and grow plants, enabling new skills and providing a safe, secluded space to meet.
Elmbridge community noticeboards need you!
Did you know Elmbridge has 29 community noticeboards that charities and community groups can use to promote their events and services? Each of these boards is managed by a local volunteer, and we are currently in need of new recruits in the Walton and Weston Green areas.
If you live near Cottimore Crescent or Terrace Road in Walton, or Hampton Court Way in Weston Green, and could give a couple of hours of your time every fortnight to update one of these boards, please contact communications@elmbridge.gov.uk.
Elmbridge Planning – changes to the Local Validation Checklist
Changes to the Local Validation Checklist have been approved by Elmbridge Borough Council. These updates, which include new requirements related the Elmbridge Design Code and Biodiversity Net Gain, aim to improve the planning application process and ensure compliance with national and local policies.
Grant funding now available for Elmbridge residents to improve energy efficiency of homes
The Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 is available to low-income or stretched-income households with hard-to-heat properties. This grant is for off-gas properties only (homes that are not heated by mains gas).
Elmbridge adopts new Statement of Community Involvement
With the aim of enhancing community engagement and transparency in the planning process, we have updated our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This decision follows a detailed review and public consultation process aimed at refining how residents and stakeholders participate in planning matters.
