In a celebration of all local and independent businesses, the Love Elmbridge awards give you the chance to vote for your favourite shop, café, restaurant, salon or special independent retailer.

Water safety in Elmbridge
While many of our residents and visitors safely enjoy the river both in terms of hospitality and water activities, the dangers of open water should never be underestimated; cold water shock, currents, and the risk of being caught in rocks is ever present.
Refurbished play areas in Elmbridge
Refurbishment works were completed in West Molesey and Molesey Hurst Recreation Grounds just before the start of the school holidays. The refurbished play areas are the latest additions to our 2022 - 2027 refurbishment programme.

Upcoming historical walks in Elmbridge
Between 8 August and 11 September, there are three local historical walks exploring Molesey Cemetery, Weybridge town and the 1968 Great Flood in Molesey.
Upcoming guided walks on Esher Commons
Join our countryside ranger, Susy, on one of our Esher Commons guided walks. Held on 7 August and 14 August, these walks are free to join, and you'll find out all about local biodiversity, our incredible insects, how to identify wildflowers, and the secret life of our ancient heathland.
Solar panel buying scheme for residents - deadline extended
The deadline for registration for the solar panel buying scheme has been extended until 13 September 2024.
Solar Together is a group buying scheme where you can come together with others in your community to invest in solar panels, with optional battery storage and electric vehicle charge points.
Rental support scheme for private landlords
We can help you rent your property to prospective tenants. Our rental support scheme works in a similar way to a letting agency, but without the fees.
We currently have over 150 tenancies within Elmbridge up and running through the rental support scheme, and plenty of prospective tenants who are seeking good quality, affordable, private rented accommodation.
Elmbridge Borough Council's Draft Local Plan update
The new Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government, Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP, has written to all Local Authorities outlining the Government’s plan to build homes to support the country’s housing crisis. This could see Elmbridge’s housing target rise to 1,443 homes per year.
We will need to look in detail at the proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework and other changes to the planning system, to determine the impact on our draft Local Plan. We will let you know more in the weeks and months ahead.
Come to the Walton Community Garden official opening
Come along to the official opening of the Walton Community Garden in St John's Drive on 20 August from 3pm. There will be food, drinks and activities for all attendees.
