Spring has arrived and with the brighter and warmer weather, there has never been a better time to refresh your exercise routine outdoors. Our Elmbridge wellbeing walks and cycle rides welcome anyone who would like to walk or cycle in a group to get active, benefit their mental wellbeing and explore the local area.
 Highlighting Elmbridge Dementia Services
It’s Dementia Awareness Week (13 to 19 May) and we are highlighting our Elmbridge Dementia Services - a centre of excellence for dementia care in the borough. We provide care and stimulation for those living with dementia, and respite for carers and family members.
 Grant funding now available for Elmbridge residents to improve energy efficiency of homes
The Home Upgrade Grant Phase 2 (HUG2) is available to low-income or stretched-income households with hard-to-heat properties. This grant is for off-gas properties only (homes that are not heated by mains gas).
 Stay water aware this spring and summer
We are urging residents to be water aware this spring summer season as the sun shines and our rivers attract more visitors, from open water swimmers to paddle-boarders, enjoying water sports to those enjoying a day out by the river with friends and family.
 New public art installation unveiled in Walton-on-Thames
A new public sculpture commissioned was installed at the new Walton Court Garden development last week to celebrate the site’s heritage and its importance to the local community.

Sports Council Grant Aid boosts sport in Elmbridge
Applications for the annual Grant Aid for local sports clubs and sports people will close at 9am on Friday 17 May. A total amount of £10,000 is available to apply for this year.
