More community services to return from Monday 22 January
From Monday 22 January 2024, our current community services offering at the Walton and Cobham Centres will be extended to our Centres in Molesey, Hersham, Weybridge and Claygate.
This means that from next week our Centres at Walton, Cobham, Molesey, Hersham, Weybridge and Claygate will provide a hot lunch, some fun activities, as well as the regular podiatry and hairdressing services to all our Centre clients, in addition to our more vulnerable clients.
These services will be run from our Walton and Cobham Centres Monday to Friday and from the other centres on specific days each week.
River Thames Scheme - have your say
The River Thames Scheme is launching a statutory consultation on plans to alleviate fooding.
A six-week consultation starts on Monday 22 January and ends on Monday 4 March.
Plans to develop Weybridge library into the 'Weybridge Hub'
Surrey County Council has plans to develop Weybridge library into the 'Weybridge Hub'. Works will include comprehensive external refurbishment of the existing structure, expanding the ground floor and full internal refit of all interiors providing accommodation for a variety of services.
You are invited to hear more about the plans at a drop in event on 5 January hosted by Surrey County Council at Weybridge Library from 4pm to 7pm.
Walton-on-Thames PSPO consultation
The Walton-on-Thames PSPO is due to expire in March 2024 following its maximum three-year term before it legally needs to be reviewed. We would now like to consult with you on how to take it forward.
Taxi user survey
Let us know how and why you use taxis in Elmbridge. Do you rely on your local taxi firm for school runs? Maybe it’s more for shopping trips? That early morning dash to the airport? Or for a night out with friends? Whatever the answer, please let us know and help us to further understand the private hire and taxi usage in Elmbridge.
The taxi user survey runs until 5 February.
