 Hosting a Ukrainian family in Elmbridge
Hosting Ukrainian families in the Elmbridge community has been a profound experience for those who have done it. Opening a home and welcoming other people can be a hugely rewarding experience.
Two Ukrainian families have recently arrived in Elmbridge, with mothers and friends Olena and Tetiana previously owning a travel agency together at home. The two families are close, but nothing could have prepared them for an epic journey across Europe, which lasted over two months and spanned over 3000 km.
 Consultation now open to support final version of the Elmbridge Design Code
There is currently a five week residents’ consultation taking place to support the final version of the Elmbridge Design Code. This began on 2 October.
The Design Code is a set of simple, concise, design requirements which set principles for new development in an area. It will support the implementation of the existing Local Plan policies relating to design matters in Elmbridge.
The Design Code consultation is now open and will be available until 11.59pm on 5 November. You can access the online survey and find out more information on our website.
 Have your say on the issues that matter to you
The annual canvass ensures that we keep the Register of Electors updated. It also helps us to identify any residents who are not registered to vote, so they can be invited to register.
If you do not respond to the canvass form or an 'Invitation to Register', we have a duty to send reminders and may make follow up visits to your property. These visits will take place between 6 October and 30 October. Council employees will be wearing council photo identification.
