 Paddling pools - your views needed
Through our paddling pools consultation, we are asking for your views on sustainable water-based play facilities in Elmbridge for our children and young people.
We want water-based activities to be part of our Play Strategy. Help us to consider how our existing facilities, which are no longer environmentally sustainable, fit into Elmbridge’s sustainable and thriving future.
 Woodland works
Countryside management works have started in Weybridge Heath and will carry on this winter. Hamish White, our Countryside Officer, explains why these woodland works are taking place and what their long-term benefits are for bio-diversity
 River Thames Scheme consultation
Look out for a consultation about new plans which respond to the challenges of flooding and create more access to open green spaces and sustainable travel routes.
The consultation will run from Tuesday 8 November until Tuesday 20 December 2022 with two events in Elmbridge:
- Saturday 19 November, 12pm to 6pm, The Molesey Centre for the Community, 2 Bishop Fox Way, West Molesey, KT8 2AS
- Wednesday 23 November, 1pm to 7pm, St Johns Parish Church, The Furrows, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 3JQ
There will also be several online webinars.
 Financial and welfare advice
Along with our cost of living support, Surrey County Council has produced a directory of support. The information is designed to help anyone feeling the impact of increasing costs and pressure on household budgets, by pulling together all the financial and welfare advice on offer in the county. Households in Surrey will receive a copy this week or you can access the information online.
 Christmas fairs this month
Our Centres for the Community will help you get into the Christmas spirit with their upcoming fairs. Pop along for gift stalls, cake sales, prize raffles and maybe even a visit from Santa!
