 Shaping a sustainable and thriving Elmbridge
The draft Local Plan is ready for consideration by Elmbridge Cabinet. The Elmbridge Local Plan is instrumental in the shaping of our borough.
The recommendations of the Cabinet will be presented to a Council meeting on 22 March 2022. If approved by Council, the next stage on the way to adoption is a ‘Regulation 19 representation’, after which the Plan will then be passed to the national Planning Inspectorate for examination.

 Give your views on play area refurbishment
As part of our rolling refurbishment programme, we are in the process of procuring equipment for the refurbishment of the play areas at Coronation, Cobham, Claygate, Molesey Hurst, West Molesey, Littleheath and West End recreation grounds. To give us your views on the designs, please send your email address to greenspaces@elmbridge.gov.uk and add ‘Survey’ in the subject line. We will consult you when designs are available.
 Plan ahead for flooding
If your home is at risk of flooding, make sure you have your own personal flood plan. Flooding can become a serious problem faster than you’d think, so don’t leave this until it actually happens as you will not have time.

The Specavers Surrey Youth Games are back for 2022
The games are aimed at 6-16 year olds from Surrey's boroughs and districts who don't have access to the sort of sports activities or opportunities that others take for granted. The focus of the training and the final celebration is on joining in, having a go and having fun.

Watch out toads crossing! Early spring is toad migration season, with toads, frogs and newts making journeys from their hibernation grounds back to their preferred breeding ponds. We have put signposts up at various well-known ‘toad crossing’ locations and we’re asking motorists and cyclists to take care when driving along roads with these signs.
