 A year of transformation ahead
As the council’s priorities and budget for 2022/2023 are brought to Elmbridge Cabinet later today, the Leader of the Council, Cllr Chris Sadler, The Deputy Leader, Cllr Janet Turner, and the Leader of the local Liberal Democrats, Cllr Bruce McDonald, outline their vision for Elmbridge in the year ahead.
 Tell us your views on community safety
Have your say on crime in Elmbridge in this year's community safety survey. The survey asks about the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour as well as the actual level of crime being experienced, and the results of the survey will help to set priorities for improving safety in Elmbridge.
 Council tax rebate
You may have seen that the Government announced a £150 council tax energy rebate for Band A to Band D properties. We are waiting on details from the Government as to how this will be administered and we will update residents as soon as the information is available. In the meantime, you can check your council tax band online.

If you're worried about the cost of living or concerned about the impact of the energy price cap increase, you may find our 'here to help' guide useful. It includes advice on who to contact if you are struggling to pay essential bills, as well as places where you can find further help and support.
 What's on this half term?
There's lots on offer to keep children entertained in Elmbridge over the February school break. Activities are running all week at Xcel Leisure Complex, while sessions are also available on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton-on-Thames.

Do you know somebody with an inspiring story, to take on the special experience of carrying the Queen’s Baton through a part of England in summer 2022? The Queen’s Baton Relay will travel to every region in England, before arriving at the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on 28 July 2022.
