Get vaccinated. Get boosted. Get protected.
It's easy for us to pass on COVID-19 or flu viruses and we know that the protection given by the vaccines reduces over time, so it’s vital you take up the offer for vaccinations you are offered this autumn and winter.
Getting the flu vaccine and the COVID-19 booster vaccine is the safest and most efficient way to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Visit the NHS website to find out more about the two essential vaccines you’ll need.
Meet outdoors this Halloween and Bonfire Night
With just over a week until Bonfire Night and only four more days until Halloween, you might be getting ready to celebrate.
While case numbers remain high in Elmbridge and across the country, it is recommended that you plan to meet friends and family outdoors on both Halloween and Bonfire Night. When you are outside in fresh air, the virus disperses more easily and there is more room to distance, reducing the risk of breathing in larger particles from an infected person.
If you do meet indoors, you are advised to open a window. Letting fresh air into indoor spaces can help remove air that contains virus particles and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
