COVID-19: Latest updates
As a local resident, we are sending you news and information regarding coronavirus, how this is affecting council services and how you can access support. We have a legal duty to keep you 'warned and informed'.
Please take a moment to update your preferences now if you do not wish to receive this information. Thank you.
Check our website for the latest COVID-19 information and advice and information on Elmbridge services.
 Safer commuting
You can help control coronavirus and travel safely by walking and cycling, if you can. Where this is not possible, use public transport or drive. If using public transport, please remember to:
- Regularly wash or sanitise your hands
- Always use a face covering
- Maintain 2m distance if you can
- Avoid facing other passengers if you can
COVID alert level
The COVID alert level for Elmbridge remains High. The latest figures and statistics are available, including the number of COVID-19 cases in Surrey broken down by borough and information on the R number.
 Community support
We continue to provide a range of services to support our most vulnerable residents during the pandemic. This includes meals on wheels, dementia services and the community alarm service. In a message to residents, Leader of the Council, Cllr Stuart Selleck, has also outlined all that the council is doing to help residents and businesses.
Grants to support hospitality and leisure businesses
Funding will be available to support businesses which have not been legally required to close, but which are nonetheless severely impacted by reduced demand caused by Tier 2 restrictions on socialising.
We will be providing further details on how to apply once we receive guidance from the government.
