Street sweeper brushes make the perfect donkey backscratchers
The brushes on an East Devon District Council StreetScene roadsweeper and the repurposed brushes at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary
After a month or so of keeping the streets of East Devon tidy, attached to StreetScene road sweepers, plastic bristled brushes are being deep cleaned, and given a new lease of life at the Donkey Sanctuary.
The brushes are mounted at different heights, making them accessible for the whole herd, offering the donkeys the ability to reach hard to get to areas, as and when they want. They also help the herd shed their thick winter coats during the spring as temperatures warm up.
