Dear Creative,
You may have heard that, as part of Local Government Reorganisation, from April 2028 Devon’s existing councils will be replaced by four unitary councils. We are pleased to share that a cultural assets commission, spearheaded by Arts Council England and Devon local authorities, has begun work to better understand and advocate for Devon's cultural assets.

New ACED Music Champion
Please welcome Simon Strange as our new ACED Music Champion. Simon brings a lifetime of experience in the music industry—spanning performance, event organisation, record production, and academia. He also spearheaded the inaugural East Devon Soul Festival in Seaton last month.

Art Explora Mobile Museum (MuMo) brings a remarkable exhibition of artworks from the Government Art Collection to Exmouth. The exhibition, Shaped by the Sea, explores artist responses to our relationship with the sea, from historic depictions to contemporary reflections on migration, identity, climate change and the environment. Artists include: J.M.W. Turner, Lubaina Himid and Bridget Riley. 10-12 August, Exmouth. Free entry.
