Deadline for Creative East Devon Fund
Watch this short film to see some of the great projects we have previously funded.
The deadline is imminent for applications. Grants of up to £3,000 are available for culture projects taking place between April 2026 and March 2027. Please read the FAQs before applying.
Deadline: Monday 9 March, 4pm.
This scheme is funded through East Devon District Council.

Two events to celebrate International Women's Day on Sunday 8 March:
Dreadnought SW - tune in to Phonic FM (106.8 FM, DAB+) on 8 March, 10 – 11am to hear stories of East Devon Women and the Sea, funded through the Creative East Devon Fund.
Annie Marches On! - Lantern Fish Theatre presents a production about Sidmouth Suffragist, Annie Leigh Browne as she leads us through the ups and downs of women's journey to equality: 8 March, 3pm. Dissenter of Sidmouth, All Saints Road EX10 8ER

Apply to Being Human Festival 2026 (5 - 14 November). Calling humanities researchers and staff from universities and research organisations to apply to take part in the festival by organising a public engagement event, activity or project. Deadline: 16.04.26
Find World Book Day costumes for free: World Book Day costume swaps return to 15 Devon libraries, helping families save money and reduce waste from 16 February to 8 March.
Funding opportunities
Locality budget: Devon County Council councillors' discretionary budget of £8,000 to support projects or activities that benefit the communities they represent.
The Happiness Fund: £5,000 grants to small not-for-profit organisations for grassroots, neighbourhood-based community projects. Deadline: 27.03.26
Gulbenkian Exhibitions Fund: grants up to £30,000 for non-profit arts organisations including museums, festivals, galleries and biennials to showcase art in the UK from Portugal and Portuguese-speaking African countries. Deadline: 27.04.26
The Gibbons Trusts: small grants for local charities and not-for-profit organisations helping East Devon residents, priority to small, local Devon organisations. Deadline: 30.04.26
Health and Wellbeing in Museums Fund: grants of between £50,000 and £75,000 to develop existing work on health and wellbeing in museums. Deadline: 20.05.26
Garfield Weston Foundation: grants up to £50,000 for charitable theatre companies, orchestras and bands, choirs, dance groups, literature and visual arts organisations. Ongoing deadline.
