Colyton’s New Play Area area upgrades survey summary report live

A survey summary report has been completed following analysis of the play area survey responses and is available to view on our website. The report outlines the most popular equipment choices, how residents and families feel about the proposed equipment selection, and the additional equipment suggestions put forward. It also summarises any further requirements respondents would like incorporated into the new design.

As the next step following the survey, the developer will review the feedback received and take it into account when confirming the final proposals. In particular, they will consider the community’s expressed preferences and the options that attracted the highest levels of support through the survey. To reflect the survey findings, the developer has been advised to proceed with the option that incorporates all of the most popular items identified by respondents. This approach best aligns the proposed scheme with community priorities and provides a clear response to the key themes emerging from the survey.

The report will provide an update on the number of responses received, overall levels of support across the proposed actions, and the key themes raised in comments. The findings will then be used to refine and finalise the plan, ahead of the Placemaking Plan being presented to Cabinet in April.
