December Highlight

The Red Dress Project - Killerton

Visit the internationally acclaimed Red Dress project. The dress has earned a place in the Guinness World Records 2025 for the largest collaborative embroidery project with contributions from 51 countries. Killerton House is open daily 11-4pm (last entry 3.30pm).

Opportunities

BBC Small Indie Fund (TV + Digital strands). Investment, mentoring and pilot funding for small TV production companies or digital production studios creating visualised podcasts, short-form video, livestreams or creator-driven content. Deadline: 22.12.25

Libraries Unlimited Consultation: if you care about the future of your local library, please complete a short 5 minute survey. We suggest reading the information about proposed changes before you complete it. Deadline: 22.02.26

Devon Connect: Need to recruit volunteers? Add your volunteering opportunities. Ongoing deadline.

UK Town of Culture: small and medium sized towns will be soon be able to apply to receive £60,000 to help develop their full application for the competition, with the winning town receiving £3.5 million to help deliver a cultural programme during the summer of 2028.


Funding opportunities

Clare Milne Trust: grants of £2,500 - £50,000 for small, registered charities that support people who have disabilities and who live in Devon or Cornwall. Deadline: 15.12.25

Leche Trust: grants of £4,000 - £5,000 to UK registered charities or public authorities supporting the performing arts and heritage conservation. Deadline: 26.01.25

Platinum Jubilee Village Halls Fund: grants of up to £5,000 for hall improvements. Work must be completed by end March 2026. Deadline: the fund closes once funds all allocated.

Swire Charitable Trust: grants for registered charities doing practical work that achieves lasting change for vulnerable people, the environment and heritage. Ongoing deadline.

Blue Spark Foundation: grants of £2,000 - £5,000 to support the education and development of children and young people 5 - 22 years by providing educational, cultural, sporting and other projects. Ongoing deadline.
