Seaton coastal defence project nears completion
So far, 6,500 tonnes of rock have been carefully placed along the shore at Seaton Hole, to strengthen and improve protection for the coastline. Concrete repairs to the Check House Wall will soon be finished.
Large construction plant has been removed from the beach and the main site compound in the Jurassic Long Stay Car Park is being cleared. The satellite office at the end of West Walks Prom will remain in place until the project is fully completed.
Thank you for your patience and support during this important work to protect Seaton’s coastline for years to come.

Do you have any old, worn out, small electrical items that are beyond repair?
If you do, and can fit them inside your recycling box, East Devon's Recycling Team can collect them from the kerbside. Small electrical items include most products that have a plug or need a battery. The valuable components within the electrical items are stripped out and recycled.
