  • Ottery St Mary - 10am - parade from Land of Canaan, to the service which will start at 10.30am
  • Axminster - 10.15am – parade from South Street Car Park. 10.45am - service on The Minster Green

  • Honiton - 2.30pm - Remembrance Day Service and Parade at Honiton War Memorial, stepping off from The Star in New Street

A large proportion of our residents either serve as personnel, are veterans, or are part of a military family. The council is a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, a promise to ensure that those who serve, or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

District councillors will be laying wreaths in our towns and villages. Vice Chair, Councillor Charlotte Fitzgerald, will be representing East Devon District Council at the Exmouth service in the morning and Devon County Council’s Exeter service in the afternoon.

Don't be a firestarter - recycle batteries safely

A hand holds a plastic bag of batteries above a recycling box

As the nights draw in, make sure your torches are ready and don’t forget to recycle your batteries.

When recycling, please place batteries in a clear plastic bag inside your recycling box. This helps crews easily identify them and sort them into the correct compartment on the vehicle. Doing this reduces the risk of fires in recycling vehicles and at the depot. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.
