Does your business provide goods or services to the public sector? Current and future suppliers need to be aware of changes to the public procurement process which come into force on Monday 24th of February.
This changes are intended to streamline the process and benefit smaller businesses and start-ups interested in supplying to the public sector. This includes a central digital platform to make it easier to find and bid for contracts.
Demonstrations of the new platform and guidance for suppliers can be found on the UK Government website. A summary of the changes and links to all the guidance has been posted on the EDDC website.
UK Shared Prosperity Fund Update
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund, a UK Government local growth funding programme , has been extended for an additional year into 2025/26.
EDDC will receive a proportion of this funding to continue a scaled-down version of its current UKSPF programme. We expect this to include ongoing support for culture, leisure, and tourism, generalist business support, business grants, and the Honiton Employment Hub.
Subscribers of our newsletter will be the first to hear about the projects and opportunities coming forward in 2025/26, including announcements of any grant schemes.
