We are delighted to share the new East Devon Cultural Map which has grown out of the East Devon tourism and cultural strategies. It aims to mutually benefit and grow the creative and visitor economies. Look out for the printed leaflets currently being distributed across East Devon and the South West and check out the digital map.

It's been a bumper year for Arts & Culture East Devon!

11 free training sessions delivered to 105 creatives ensure our cultural and creative industries in East Devon have opportunities for skills' development.

16 Creative East Devon Fund grants worth £37,000 awarded this year supporting East Devon’s high quality and accessible, cultural offer, contributing to our residents’ health, happiness and wellbeing. This scheme is funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund.

Launch of new East Devon Cultural Map
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new cultural map for East Devon to encourage tourism to the area to enjoy our museums, theatres, galleries, music venues and festivals. The printed maps will be distributed to high footfall South West locations and contain a QR code linking to the online map.

Following the recent upsurge in using East Devon as a film location, don't forget to sign up to Creative England's Filming in England Crew or Supplier Directory. In particular, they are looking for companies with a commitment to working towards a greener future.

Free training for East Devon museums with expert Holly Morgenroth from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM).

Funding opportunities
Heritage Crafts is a national charity supporting traditional heritage crafts. Grants and bursaries to support makers including Maker Relief Fund grants of £1,000, training bursaries up to £4,000 and Endangered Arts Fund. Deadline: see individual grant.
The Hinrichsen Foundation offers grants to charities and other organisations to support contemporary music performance, including the commissioning of new work, non-commercial recording, or publication. Deadline: 12.12.24
Arts Council England: Developing your Creative Practice. For individual creatives and cultural practitioners interested in research, expanding your network, or experimenting with your work. Deadline: 12.12.24
John Ellerman Foundation: Museums & Galleries Fund. Grants available to help regional museums and galleries with incomes over £100,00, helping to enhance and sustain curatorial development to attract a broader and more diverse public. Deadline: 17.01.25
