Have your say on the Exmouth Beach Management Plan Update
The Beach Management Plan (BMP) outlines how EDDC will sustainably manage coastal flooding and erosion risks to properties and assets along the Exmouth frontage. The BMP focuses on maintaining an adequate beach to support existing defence structures and ensuring these defences continue to protect Exmouth.
This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on the proposed options for the long-term future of these defences with the project team.
Consultation is live until Monday, 10 February 2025 at 5pm.
Drop-in Engagement Event for
Exmouth Beach Management Plan Update
A drop-in engagement event will be held for members of the public to find out more about these options. This event will occur on Tuesday 26 November 2024 (2pm-7pm) at Exmouth Town Hall, St Andrews Road, Exmouth EX8 1AW. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions about the proposed options we have identified to secure the long-term future of Exmouth seafront for future generations to enjoy in the way that many people do so today.

Past consultations updates
Residents Survey -
We’re pleased to inform you that the survey results have now been analysed. The insights you shared will play a critical role in shaping the District Council’s approach to supporting the delivery of new developments in the future.
A detailed report based on the findings will be presented to the Council’s Cabinet in the new year.
Dunkeswell play park consultation -
The Council has reviewed all the survey feedback and has resolved to request EDDC to consider the transfer of funds to Churchill Park, where it is believed those resources would be more effectively utilised.
Once the transfer is approved, the Councillors will determine the total available funding and decide how its allocated. The process at EDDC is currently in progress, having produced a report that has been disseminated among their councillors for comment. Following this, the report will undergo further evaluation, and a decision will be made.
As this progresses, updates will be included in the minutes of upcoming meetings, which can be viewed at
