Developing our new Anti-Poverty Strategy

East Devon is a beautiful place to live and work, with its market towns, coastal areas, and rural landscapes. However, many residents face financial challenges, including affording food, energy, and housing, which can often go unnoticed.

We understand the profound impact poverty has on health, wellbeing, and future opportunities. This is why enhancing the quality of life for all our residents is a key priority in our Council Plan. To achieve this, we're updating our Anti-Poverty Strategy.

We need your input to ensure the new strategy addresses these challenges and meets the needs of our communities. Please take a moment to complete this short survey.

Consultation ends on Friday, 18 October 2024 at 5pm.

Help to preserve East Devon's treescape

East Devon District Council are proposing five sites throughout the district for planting young tree whips. These trees will gradually grow into a series of small copses, pocket woodlands, and a community Tiny Forest.

This initiative will create an extensive network of habitats that will offer numerous advantages for people, wildlife, and the environment. The project is part of the Emergency Tree Fund, overseen by Devon County Council and supported by funding from the Woodland Trust.

We want to hear from you about your thoughts on the five planting sites.

This consultation will close on Monday, 28 October 2024 at 5pm.
