Share your views about East Devon’s new community

Have your say on two options for a new community in East Devon, before the deadline of 5pm on Monday 7 October 2024.

A new self-sufficient and dynamic community will be created for up to 8,000 homes by 2050, alongside employment space. It will also be home to a wide range of facilities, from schools and shops to parks and playing pitches, along with transport and sewage infrastructure improvements.

Residents warned about parking fine scams

East Devon District Council have received reports of fraudulent text messages about parking fines. Be wary about clicking on links in text messages and sharing any personal or payment details over the phone. You can report suspicious text messages to Action Fraud by forwarding them to 7726 (it's free of charge).

BMX pros to perform at Cranbrook Pump Track community event

Cranbrook pump track

Professional BMX riders will be performing tricks, plus there will be a children's competition with prizes, as well as food and drink from local vendors, at Cranbrook's Pump Track. Come along to the launch event on Saturday 21 September 2024 between 12pm - 3pm.

The pump track has proved popular since opening in April 2024. It was supported by East Devon District Council, Cranbrook Town Council, Move More Cranbrook, and received funding from developers.

Wild East Devon celebrates successful summer events

A varied and engaging summer events programme, including sell-out bat walks, canoe safaris, bat box building, children’s holiday clubs and other family events, was delivered by the Wild East Devon team, alongside partner organisations.

The team is busy preparing the autumn and winter events programme, with upcoming activities including family apple pressing, autumn crafts, and bird box making.
