Connecting Devon and Somerset’s Mobile Boost scheme has re-opened, offering local businesses and residents vouchers of up to £1,300 towards technology to improve their indoor mobile coverage and connectivity. 

Watch the video to hear from an East Devon resident in the Blackdown Hills whose mobile signal was improved from just one bar, only available outside the house, to five bars inside his house.

Let the Recycling Team take away your green waste from the kerbside by subscribing to the 'clipping brilliant' Green Waste service. If your garden is small, you could share a green bin and the subscription with your neighbour.

Don’t miss the last day of the popular A Visible Thread: Seam Collective exhibition on Saturday 31 August 2024 between 10am – 5pm.

Explore the work of 15 artists from weaving to knitting, stitching to needle felting. Kids can enjoy a fun trail around the gallery and receive a sticker too. A visitor told us that it is:

"Such a lovely exhibition - touchable, informative, fun. I loved adding to stitching. Inspirational and magic."

Variety of family activities planned for fire service's free open day

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters The Knowle, Clyst St George

Sunday 1 September 2024, 10am - 4pm - The Knowle, Clyst St George, Exeter

Watch emergency service demonstrations, play games, enjoy a barbecue, refreshments, live entertainment, abseiling, as well as guided tours of fire engines and around the Control Room at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service's Open Day. Donations will be collected in support of Hospiscare, Fire Fighters Charity, and Fire Aid Nepal.


Discover nature at Seaton Wetlands with a family-friendly BioBlitz event

Join the Wild East Devon Team and the Axe Vale & District Conservation Society for a 'BioBlitz' on Sunday 15 September 2024. Help survey all the wildlife on site throughout the day by taking part in bug hunting, pond dipping, bird watching, and flower surveying. There are limited tickets available for an evening bat walk.

As an added bonus, Seaton Tramway has a special offer for tickets from Seaton Station to Seaton Wetlands Halt on that day.
