Play area upgrade work

We are proposing to upgrade nine play areas across the district – and we need your help to make them the best they can be.

The existing play area equipment and safety surfacing is approaching the end of its life, but thanks to funding from the council’s Capital Programme, plans have been developed to enhance these spaces so that they can serve the district’s children and families well into the future.

This consultation period is your opportunity to put forward suggestions for what you think should be included in the project. We hope to complete installation in Summer 2025.

Dunkeswell play park

The play equipment at Churchill Park needs to be repaired and replaced, so Dunkeswell Parish Council is considering reallocating some funds from a different project to complete the upgrade work.

As part of the consultation process, we are seeking your feedback on whether the funding would be better used at Churchill Park than New Century Park, where plans had previously been made to provide more play equipment.
