Public speaking workshop for East Devon creatives

A playful way to master public speaking!
13 February 2024, 10.00-1.00
Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth

  • Delivered by trainer Cathy Towers, the session will use play and games to explore the different elements of public speaking.
  • Discover how to use these skills whenever you need, from standing on stage to presenting a talk, interviews on radio/TV to speaking at a meetings/networks.

  • More than AI: Watershed is offering grants to support creative SMEs, artists and designers with new and distinctive ideas responding to the theme of 'More than AI'. Deadline: 18 December.

  • South West Water Community Grants: Grants of up to £2,000 to help fund community groups that benefit people and the environment. Deadline: ongoing.

Volunteering Opportunity

Telling Our Stories

Call for volunteers in Honiton for an exciting new multicultural history project Telling Our Stories, especially anyone from a diverse ethnic background or linked/working with Honiton’s diverse communities or living/working in Honiton who have a multicultural story to tell. Project launch: Wednesday 29 November, 4-6 at The Beehive, Honiton. RSVP

  • Evaluation for Arts, Culture and Heritage: self-guided, free-to-access online course to help you undertake evaluation in arts, culture and heritage. More
  • Digital Culture Network (Arts Council) - FREE digital support for creative and cultural organisations. Book a 1-2-1 support call.

  • Grow your digital content skills with Google Arts & Culture: Thursday 7 December at Exeter Phoenix. Book your place.

  • Calling 13-18 yr old writers and theatre makers. Four of Swords has teamed up with Exeter Phoenix and The Beehive, Honiton to offer a unique course in adapting Greek Myths into theatre (and/or film) scripts. Find out more and book
