We know that having access to culture and creativity can help us stay well, get well and live longer high quality lives. This week we’re celebrating national creativity and wellbeing week and the positive impacts culture and creativity have on our health and wellbeing every day.

Community organisations will be able to apply for up to £20,000 to help decarbonise their arts venue, e.g. solar PV panels, air source heat pumps, EV charging points.

Artist calls and funding opportunities

Artist commission: Devon-based photographic artists are invited to make new work about Dartmoor for RAMM. Commission fee: £6,000 plus production budget. £300 fee for each of three shortlisted artists to present a proposal to selection panel.

Artist call: Thelma Hulbert Gallery invites applications from contemporary artists living/working in the South West for the THG Open 2023.  

  • Overall winner: Solo exhibition and £500 prize
  • Best emerging artist under 25: Solo exhibition in THG project space
  • Visitors’ choice: £100 prize

East Devon AONB: Communities Project Fund: Grants of up to £4,000 to help and encourage local projects, including local festivals, to explore and develop ideas that bring social, environmental and economic benefits to AONB communities.
