Take a ‘meowment’: Be purfectly sure you're registered to vote
Make sure you're registered to vote, so that you can take part in the town, parish and district council elections on 4 May. The deadline for registering is 11:59pm on 17 April.
When you're registered to vote, either sign up for a postal vote, or if you want to vote in person, check that you have a valid form of ID that you can bring along to the polling station.
Local career possibilities celebrated for National Apprenticeship Week
 East Devon District Council representatives at Exeter College's Apprenticeship Expo on Thursday
Apprenticeships are an exciting way of learning as you earn, gaining hands-on experience and kick starting careers. On Thursday, representatives from EDDC set up stall at Exeter College's Apprenticeship Expo and discussed with students the variety of routes they could take into work that makes a difference.

Have your say on 25 acre new public green at Station Road, Broadclyst
 The green space at Station Road, Broadclyst that is now under consultation
Local people are being invited to share their views on 25 acres of land, acquired by East Devon District Council (EDDC), for a new nature-rich, accessible green space.
The new green space is an important milestone in the creation of the Clyst Valley Regional Park. A public consultation began on 7 February and lasts for six weeks until 20 March 2023 at 4pm. Draft proposals include habitat creation, a multi-use trail, a network of circular paths and a small car park.
Drop in to speak to EDDC representatives and our consultants WSP at Broadclyst Victory Hall on Thursday 16 February from 3pm until 7pm to find out more about the proposals and have your say. A presentation followed by questions will be held at 4pm and again at 6pm. The short recorded presentation will also be available online for people who are unable to attend in person.

Due to high national demand with our suppliers, our recycling box orders have taken longer than usual to be delivered to our depot.

Practical day of conservation at Trinity Hill

Join the Countryside Team and the Axe Vale & District Conservation Society for a day of practical conservation, helping to keep this precious heathland in excellent condition. Suitable for families with children over the age of 12, hand tools will be used to cut back invasive rhododendron which will then be dragged and processed with a bonfire.
