A pilot scheme designed to train people to become more engaged with their local listed buildings and conservation areas was launched in East Budleigh recently.

The future expansion of Cranbrook

Plans for the future expansion of Cranbrook will shortly be debated with a planning inspector. 

Starting on January 21 2020, at the Council Offices, Blackdown House in Honiton, a Government appointed inspector will hear the case.

Helping our communities to make plans!

We are at the forefront of neighbourhood planning nationally, with even more plans coming forward.

At our latest referendum an impressive 90 per cent of voters supported the Sid Valley Neighbourhood Plan (Sidmouth). Now it has been ‘made’, the total number of adopted plans in the district is 17 – and 14 further plans are at an advanced stage of production.
