Councillors to discuss planning proposals to ‘unlock future potential of site’

A planning application which will unlock the future potential of a site on Exmouth seafront goes before East Devon’s Development Management Committee tomorrow.
The district council, who are the landowners at Queen’s Drive, already has outline planning permission to develop the area for leisure facilities. This latest planning application concerns building design and the scale of any development on the site and is called a ‘Reserved Matters’ application. Approval of the application is needed to open the way for more detailed plans to come forward and the people of Exmouth will be fully consulted for their views on any development proposals for the site.
The district council, who are the landowners at Queen’s Drive, has submitted the application to ensure that there is continued planning permission for the land and to give confidence to developers who want to invest in the site. Find out more . . .
Housing company for East Devon
East Devon District Council is planning to set up a housing company to build new homes in the district and meet an ever-growing demand for property.

Seaton’s new
mini adventure golf course officially opened
It would be fair to say that designing a planting scheme for East Devon District Council’s brand new Jurassic themed adventure golf course in Seaton, featuring dinosaur eggs, fossils, bones and boulders was not without its challenges and required a both knowledgeable and ingenious plantsman to choose exactly the right plants to enhance the setting.
